This procedure is typically performed after a tooth has cracked, severely decayed or has been traumatized. This procedure involves removing dying nerve tissue from the root canal of the tooth. The canal is then filled with material and the tooth is saved. Once the tooth heals, a crown would then be placed to prevent the tooth from fracturing.
